Eastern Europe

I was born in Belarus and lived there until the time I was 7 years old and my family won the Green Card lottery to move to the United States. Eastern Europe is still where I feel at home, whether it’s Ukraine or Belarus or Poland.

Until I graduated high school, every summer I spent 2 months in Eastern Europe hopping between Ukraine and Belarus. Then in college, I knew I couldn’t give that up so I found a way to get a 6-month internship in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2018. Here, you will get a glimpse into all of my favorite things about my home. From the food, to the history, to the culture, to the people, it really is one of my favorite places in the world and I want to share the beauty of it with you!
