Hey everyone! I am so excited to see you here, it means the world that you’re taking the time to read about my journey in travel and the detours I have taken. I am constantly questioning what I like to do, what I’m best at, what drives me every day and one constant has always been travel. Whether it’s researching, booking, or running into challenges abroad – all of it is my favorite thing to do in the world.
A Brief Timeline:
I am from Minsk, Belarus! I was born there and lived there until I was 6 years old.
In 2003, my family won the Green Card lottery, and we upped and moved to the United States!
In 2004, our family of four (my mom, my dad, my brother, and I) roadtripped our way in our Honda CR-V to Alaska! (Well, not quite to Alaska, you can’t drive into Juneau, AK.)
I lived in Alaska until I was 18 years old, moved to Boston for college, graduating from Northeastern University in 2020.
From the moment I graduated high school until I was a junior in college, I went back home to Alaska every summer to work at a heli-tourism company. I worked both on the Mendenhall glacier as a glacier tour guide and at the base as a radio dispatcher!
During my time at Northeastern, I did a 6-month internship back home in Kyiv, Ukraine. My time in Kyiv is highlighted in the “Working Abroad” section.
Currently in San Diego, planning my next getaway! Thanks for following along!
